This is a further continuation of previous posts about life lessons.
Is it easier said than done? Embracing something intentionally, fully meaning it and changing how you think, feel and behave are essential to successful execution. This is because actions speak louder than words, as it’s often better done than said.
--
Nothing will truly change for you until you change the way you think about, perceive and do things.
--
I cannot change what did happen, but I can change what will happen – in this context, sorry isn’t for tomorrow (to avoid regret).
--
Do things for the simple pleasure of getting them done.
--
Being somewhat self-indulgent in focusing on intentionality and introspection does reap good rewards, as long as the motivations for doing so are unselfish, and the outcomes sought are increased humility and servant-heartedness.
--
It’s easier to appreciate the finer things in life and in nature when you have discovered the ability to really slow down and be tranquil and to be content with less and with what simply is.
--
It takes time and intentionality to find tranquility (and contentment).
--
To slow down properly is a key element of tranquility.
--
Humility and Empathy are required for proper Leading, with Fairness in your Firmness, tempered with Consideration and Self-Control. Avoid OCD, ego and self-importance, which will invariably have you focusing on obtaining credit or acknowledgment for yourself or looking for ‘what’s in it for me’ instead of how this can best be affected for positive impact in those around me.
--
People’s egos and arrogance often get in the way of proper progress.
--
‘Stating the obvious’ may well be required enlightenment to some.
--
‘Common sense’ is unfortunately not as common as some of us would like it to be.
