What If?

What if

• The reason I am here is actually quite clear?

• My life purpose has been set out?

• I do not really have to worry about anything?

This all sounds a bit too good to be true...

Actually, not..

We all face the universal questions of why we exist and what our life purpose is.

We tend to look to the world and people for what the answer(s) could be.

But, we should look to the One who created us for why He created us and what our reason for being actually is.

Why am I here?

We are here to be in relationship with other people, and especially to be in relationship with our Creator. God is Love, and the essence of love is relational (the Triune God).

We are thus called to love our Father and our neighbours (two most fundamental rules).

What is my life purpose?

Because God actually orchestrated my existence, I should look to His plan and purpose for my life.

• His plan is or me to grow in Christ-likeness.

Where do I find direction/satisfaction?

The Bible is God's Word for us - it provides all the direction we need (choose a translation that speaks to you).

Who do I trust to help me?

Christ Jesus = God's chosen/anointed One as Saviour for us (through His sacrifice on the cross).

Jesus left us His Holy Spirit when He ascended into heaven, as our intercessor, comforter, guide and advocate.

God's Holy Spirit helps us to have the necessary faith, and helps us become awakened to the awareness of what God has done for us, and what our appropriate response is (see next point).

How do I achieve fulfilment or peace?

Believe in Jesus Christ and declare your faith in Him (what He did for us on the cross, the fact that He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven), sincerely repent from your sins, and receive God's grace, peace and eternal salvation.

Simple enough, hey?

Faith is what you believe in, who you trust with your eternity, how you secure your eternity, where you find meaning in life, and why you exist (to fulfil God's plan and purpose for your life).

The answer to all of the above is belief and trust in Christ Jesus!

Don't gamble with your eternity and continue in the rut of doubt - take the leap of faith.

Romans 10:9 "if you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord', and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

John 3:16 "For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone that believes in him will not perish but have eternal life."
